Welcome to my personal website!
I am a Mexican scientist with experience in a wide range of data analysis and experimental physics techniques.
Currently, I am transitioning into a career in data science where I will be developing, deploying, and improving artificial intelligence based products.
In my spare time, I enjoy photography and playing strategy videogames.
Hi, I am Hector.
I was born in Tecamac, Mexico. I came to the United States back in 2009 to work on my doctoral degree in Physics at the University of Arizona in sunny Tucson.
I currently live in Maryland where I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Maryland. Here, I am leading a team of graduate students designing and operating an apparatus to carry out fundamental science experiments. In addition, I am also deploying machine learning and data analysis tools to better understand our system.
As my side gig, I am building a data science portfolio with several projects including image classification, text generation, credit card fraud detection, and even stock price predictions.
